Description Suggest change

Gritscone is a small wall of conglomerate sandstone offering a several less-than vertical face routes, some jug hauls, and a few more tricky overhangs. Great for beginners, the routes are all four bolts or less, and most can be top roped by walking around.

Getting There Suggest change

This is the first crag on the main Dirty Harry's Peak trail that you'll come to. Hike east from the trail at the end of the bridge for about 10-15 minutes; Gritscone and the signpost are visible on the right.

Sun & Shade Suggest change

Routes Mostly Face: Southwest
Details: Basically shady the entire day. The crag is short enough that the forest simply continues right over it, providing uninterrupted shade continuously. Has no rain protection at all though, it's drip, drip, drip the whole time and doesn't dry out fast.
