Description
Ask a Yorkshire man where the best climbing in the world, and they say Yorkshire many people having climbed here will agree. The Yorkshire Gritstone found between Leeds and Skipton and the Yorkshire Limestone found in the South Yorkshire Dales is of the highest quality.
Getting There
To reach the Gritstone head North West from Leeds on the A660 towards Otley and then the A65 towards Ilkley. If you look to the left and right you see some of the fine Gritstone cliffs pass by. For the limestone cliffs of Malham and Gordale keep heading along the A65 towards Skipton. Shortly after passing through Skipton you be heading North into the Yorkshire Dales towards Malham.
