Description
Shady most of the day. This wall is usually crowded, and during high tide, the water comes almost to the base of the routes just off the beach. Almost half the routes are up and to the right in the foliage above the beach.
Getting There
Look for a covered bench area at the far end of the East Railay beach (opposite end from all the resorts and bars) past the private resort where the path to Phra Nang Beach begins. Muay Thai starts just beyond the benches on the beach.
Protection
Like many areas in Krabi, ALL routes at Muay Thai have been rebolted with Titanium bolts (with red glue). King's new 2011 7th Ed. guidebook uses a "T" on the route topos to show where Titanium has been used. All proceeds from book sales go to rebolting Railay and Tonsai. Apparently, you can order the book from King Climbers for 1,050 Baht (or US equivalent) at kingclimbers@iname.com (specify # of books needed and your address).
You can view the rebolting pages at railay.com/railay/climbing/climbing_rebolting.shtml
