Description
The Barrel Boulders and the Shister Wall contain about a dozen problems ranging from V0- V5ish. The rock is for the most part good to excellent for the park. The routes themselves offer a variety of movement on vertical to over vertical faces, bulges, and aretes. A fun place to stop and have a quick session. This is a recent find so some of the lines will need some traffic to solidify the holds... Several more lines to be done, though they need some attention.
Getting There
From the main office head towards Twin Vally lake. When you come down the final hill in to the predominant valley, look for a horse trail that comes in perpendicular to the road on the left. Park somewhere near this. Hike up through woods to adjacent bluff staying just above the prickers heading to the west (right). You will soon see the Barrel Boulders. Hike past these and up hill around the corner and you will hit the Shister Wall.
