Description
This is the obvious Big Rock outcropping at the center of the Rocks of Sharon area.
The Standard Route (4th class to 5.4) is the classic Spokane scramble that many non technical climbers do regularly.
Many traditional crack routes are scattered all around this large outcropping and many FA's were claimed in the 1960's.
Big Rock also hosts a few excellent sport climbs on solid stone.

Getting There
You will encounter Big Rock by hiking 15 minutes up the Rocks of Sharon access trail from the parking area on Stevens Creek Rd. The main access trail heads North along the East face of Big Rock to where the trail narrows and branches to the East and West. From here, the North face of Big Rock is located to the left on the West trail, and the Rookie Wall and Gem Stone are located by heading right on the East trail.
