Description

This route has some great 5.9 face climbing. Your instincts will pull you towards the easier chimney/gully feature to the left, but staying on the face provides engaging climbing.

Location

This route is on the right of the East Face, heading up just right of a chimney feature.

Protection

Well-protected with bolts.

My favorite pitch in Spokane! Good stuff, has stemming, thin face climbing, and a massive hero jug at the crux. Yes, that orange flake is 100% bomber even if it looks sketchy from below.

If you want to lower / top rope, you need a 70m. If you have a 60m you'll have to rap on a different set of anchors -- there's two, about 15 feet on either side of the top out. I prefer the one on the climber's left, once you get down (rope stretcher for a 60m) it's a short "scramble" back down to the base of the climb. Jul 2, 2018
