Description

The hike into this area is a little longer but much more secluded and use. If you want to get away from the crowds, this is the place.

Getting There

To get to lower slabs the trail is actually off the right of the Seneca Rocks hiking trail. There is no halfway marker, but at the start of the trail to lower slabs there is currently an informational sign about lichen. In addition there is a boulder at the start of the trail. (Someone has posted a pics in the comments about this approach already, but it seems to be inaccessible from the app.)

Anyone know what the sport route just right of Tips is? 4 or five bolts, looks like it might be designed as a mixed route? I didn't have time to get on it today, but it looked pretty fun. Anyone know anything about it? I can't find it here or in the guide. Jun 8, 2015
The guidebook and description are confusing. While hiking up to observation deck, look for boulder and small unmarked trail that veers off to the right. This will take you directly to the Scuttle area.

Slartibartfast - I don't have much beta (route name, FA, etc.), but I did jump on it today. Prehaps a 10a or so? I would say it is intended to be mixed...I think there were 5 bolts and I placed two small cams. Also, the anchor is bolted. Overall, a good route. I'd recommend getting on it. Feb 20, 2016
