Description
The South Quarry Area sees much less traffic than the rest of the park. Quite simply, there is no reason for non-climbers to enter the area, as there are no established paths and no special sights to see. Even the most accessible climbs requires 30 feet of bushwhacking through chest-high brush and hidden ditches.
The lower accessibility and lower traffic says nothing about the quality of the climbing, though. Additionally, the short walk from the parking lot makes it a great area to set up for a quick climbing without having to haul all your food out with you. The cliffs tend to be on the smaller side, and tend to be shorter the further south you go. The southern most cliffs look directly down into the parking lot, so there is little privacy if you are seeking to climb in solitude.

Getting There
After parking in the parking lot off of 141st street, take the obvious path through the grass towards the quarry. Right before entering the quarry from the south, look left to see Quarry Corner Buttress. You may either hug the cliff line as you retreat south from the quarry or perform some interesting bushwhacking from the trail leading to the quarry to gain access to the faces further south.
