Description

A square detached pillar roughly 10 feet from the main cliffline. The side facing the cliff is about 25 feet high. A couple of easy trad leads or solo get you up. Topropes can be set up with nuts and hexes in a finger sized crack splitting the top of the tower.

Getting There

From the main parking lot take the first trail left up towards the old quarry. At the cliffline before entering the quarry turn left and follow a trail for a short distance. Easy bushwhacking along the cliff for another 100 feet leads to the tower.

It is said that someone set up and walked a highline between Sun Drop II Tower and the main wall... Sep 23, 2011
Thanks for the info Doug. FYI: there is no longer bail gear on top. Jul 31, 2009

You could do a "Needles style two person rappel" or just downclimb the 5.5 route...I'd say it's probably not even that hard. Several years ago I did find bail gear on top (2 nuts, a sling and biners). Jul 26, 2009
Anyone have any beta on how they got down off of this thing? Jul 26, 2009
