Description
The Double Chimney Formation is located about 75 yards above the last (northernmost) cottage. The formation has some nice 40 foot face and chimney routes that are worth a try.
Getting There
Walk along Cottage Grove Road to the last cottage. Head up the bluff just a few paces beyond the cottage, crossing rocks toward the visible rock face, Public Enemy. Skirt Public Enemey to the right, finding the user trail up toward Porkchop Buttress. Double Chimney is the next formation you'll come to, an impressive pair of pillars.
Alternatively, if you're climbing in the Misery Rocks area, descend to the base of Porkchop Buttress and then continue down the distinct user trail until you're about 75 yards above the cottages. Double Chimney is on the south side of the user trail, but less impressive from this angle.
