Description
This rock blends in with a mass of rocks that are slightly separated from the rest of the Outlets. They are across the Sunday Gulch trail to the west. Two 5.9 bolted routes are on the northwest side of the rock.
Getting There
Take the trail around Sylvan Lake towards the Outlets. Instead of going through the tunnel, get on the old dirt road (paved in spots). Walk up a short ways until you reach a small building. Normally, you would get on the trail to the right here to go to the Outlets. To find Hornsby's continue left on the main road for a while. Pass under some power lines, then take off right in an overgrown grassy meadow. Hike uphill, passing rock formations that are to your right. Look for a wicked looking overhanging boulder (Mood Swings Boulder), then take a right. Hornsby's is a lesser formation with two closely spaced bolted routes right near here. It is just to the left of a formation that has visible bolt anchors that are on a detached block.
