Description
Reunion Rock is another one of the formations in the Needles that is paved all the way to the base of the rock. Although not incredibly aesthetic by Needles standards, this rock does have one of the easier Needles test pieces. That is, Trojan Determination, an extremely run out 5.8 on the left side of the face. Also, a well protected climb runs up the right side of the rock.
Getting There
From Sylvan Lake, drive towards the Cathedral Spires parking area. Pass the Needle's Eye, and continue through the tunnel. Park at a pulloff next to a very tight turn to the right. Some landmarks to identify this parking area are a great view of the Cathedral Spires, and Totem Pole (large yellow rock formation next to guard rail). Reunion Rock is the steep wall on the north side of the parking spots.
