Help me plan a sweet anniversary trip... please?

Howdy,
I was kind of all over the map. We really wanted to go to Thailand but apparently there exists this thing called monsoon season... Anyway if anyone has any destination recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! |

Maybe not International enough for you but....I would head to Banff/Jasper and it's neighbor the Ghost |
John has it.... one of the best places to visit and climb at. |

Kalymnos, Greece |
Skaha in BC....if you can stand the heat there in August. Yes, possible to follow the shade, but it's still uncomfortably to unclimbably hot. Highs of over 40C are not uncommon. |

Squamish/Vancouver/whistler |

Just got back from a climbing trip to Spain about a month ago. It was awesome. Sport, Trad, fun via Ferrata. Nice mountain villages and mountain hut. Not a beach scene though, although the ocean isn't far. |
Kalymnos would be pretty hot. |
Finale Ligure, Italy? |
Sardegna is your spot, message me if you want lots of beta |
Wilder Kaiser in Austria, which I liked better than the Dolomites: |
There is always Hawaii. No multipitch though. Temps are warm but reasonable in August. Average high around 89. |

Wilder kaiser is perfect for the period and fit your expectations. But it is limestone. if you prefer granit, south swissland (grimsel, furka, St Moritz, ticino). |

Come to Sint Maarten Caribbean I take you all over doing boulders and walls, fishing ,kite surf ,surfing ,scuba diving ,shooting , fancy umbrella drinks very good restaurants for the spa I'm the owner, I think you got the all pakage here,,,anything,,, send me a Pm if you are interested.. |

Calanques in the south of France are great, though France in August is hard (everyone is on vacation, lots of things are closed and deserted or incredibly busy). Also during the summer, the Calanques can be closed often due to risk of fire hazard. |
Puerto Rico was really nice. We went in January - I don't know the weather at other times though. |
You guys are awesome. |
I take-back my Sardegna suggestion, I didn't pay attention to the fact that you said August. |
Can't say enough about Arco and the Lake Garda area. It has thousands of routes, with many multi-pitch sport, town revolves around climbing, weather is decent in August, and it has all the requirements you listed. Also, Marco has the best gelato on the planet. |
