The Roadside boulder....part of it anyway...

Description

This is the most obvious boulder at either the A.V.P. area or the Boneyard, and serves as a perfect marker to help find the AVP area and for the start of the Left Boneyard.

It is beside the road and there is a small wet-weather creek in front of it. There are a few established lines and when the creek is dry or really low, the main face is one of my favorites in the LB.

Getting There

Park in the pull off. walk across the road and hop the ditch and park boundry fence. you cant miss it. it serves for an excellent landmark for navigation.

Climbing Season

this problem is on the "back" of the boulder, opposite of the wet-weather stream, 10 feet to the right of the tree at the front "nose" section facing the road. To find this problem, find the huge "bucket/hole" and this is it.stand start low on slanted side pull rail, or hands already in the bucket hole.bump up through the upper edge rail, to the great top out above....[more]   Browse More Classics in Virginia
