I met a man in North Woodstock named Matt. He owns the book store. When he was 16 years old, he soloed the Black Dike (he's 51 now). He thinks nothing of it. He also soloed Lakeview, Eagle crag. The buttresses left of the eaglet and some of the routes on artist bluff. Very modest about his adventures. He quit climbing when he was 17. He stopped because he came to the conclusion he was being too reckless.
