Suggested Page Improvements to Hardrock Miner
I just tried to submit this writeup but I'm not sure it went through - sorry if this is a repeat.
The rope beta for the descent is wrong! I just climbed this route with a single 60m and had to so some shenanigans to get off it - not fun. I'd previously rapped the route with two 60m ropes and had no problems. I don't know if a single 70m would work - ozman says it would (see comments) but the first and last raps were fairly long - especially the last. Please consider changing the beta to save future parties some sketchiness. Thanks.
I might say something like this. Feel free to remove the part about the 70m, since it's conjecture:
Descent: Rappel the route with two 60m ropes. Single 60m is not enough. Single 70m MIGHT work, but you'd probably have some down climbing on the last rap (easy) and maybe the first (exposed).
The second rappel uses an independent anchor (below and climber's right of the fourth pitch anchor). Use the belay anchors for the remaining raps.
