Description Suggest change

Splitter crack system up the middle of the formation that looks like the Trans Am building in San Francisco. This route is a free variation of an old aid line (climbed by Tijuana local Alejandro Gastelum) we dubbed Whiskey Direct, as we found an old whiskey bottle at the base. There is some awesome free climbing on this route, from 5.10 stemming to 5.11c thin hand splitter, to a long wide 5.11 hand crack, then 5.11 crimpy face climbing, and finally overall pleasant climbing to the top.

Location Suggest change

At least 300 feet right of Orion Rising is a comfortable sandy area, at the base,  below the "Trans Am Wall". Directly above this is a big slab that forms a right facing corner from the base of the wall. This slab has an entry crack on the right that leads to an old bolt ladder. Crosswind, instead climbs directly up this big corner, 5.10c stemming protected by bolts. From there, it follows the obvious crack system (bolt belays) until the crack terminates, From there, climb up and right on crimps to gain the base of a small flake roof and features to the top. You can rap with 2 70M ropes. 6 pitches

Protection Suggest change

Standard rack to a #4 C4, with doubles or more on the hand and fist sizes. 2 70M ropes (for the rappel on chain anchors).
