Shandy

Fantastic exposure given that it's a ladder. This outing used to be boy scouts' rite of passage. These days 99% of people just do the first two bolted pitches, then exit left along the obvious ledge.

Pitch 1 (5.3, 33m / 108ft):
Up face following bolts to anchor stance. 1958 grading but still easy.

Pitch 2 (5.3, 26m / 85ft):
Traverse left to obvious ledge, mitigating drag as you round the corner. To get a good photo and to avoid being clocked by an abseiller, keep going along the ledge a bit to set up your belay.

(The third pitch, trad, is significantly harder, and goes up a popular abseiling line, so it's usually impractical to do. If you do it, abseil back down from the chains to the ledge.

The fourth pitch, trad, is a sandbagged, unprotectable deathtrap. It goes back up the slot abseil you do to reach the climb, then up further, then finishes as per Dirty Rotten Pig's exit and final pitch.)

Exiting Shandy after pitches 1 and 2
Exit on the ledge. Worth staying roped for the scramble to the top of the ledge. Unrope and follow the ledge and path, head up a slab until you reach rungs. Rope up and head up the rungs, cross the gap, then up the slab to belay by the exit path. This pops you out near the entry path.
