Approach: I like to approach this route and the larger zone in general from the end of the road. Cross the creek to the South and take a right on top of the hill. after a few minutes of walking and wandering towards the West you'll enter a drainage. Stay in this drainage for a long while, heading past the front of The Hand. You're looking to go straight up the 1st drainage/canyon behind the front of The Hand. Look for a small rock slide of talus that meets the drainage. This is where you leave the main drainage and start heading straight up. the path is pretty obvious and steep. There are 2 sections of 5.easy scrambling near the end. dropping a handline for friends or even rapping off trees here could be advised. once atop all the steep scrambling, start looking for your route on the right. 2 hour approach.

The Route:

P1) Climb the stunning 5.9 ow. Save a #4 for the top. 75'. Belay towards the back on ledge w/ tree, under the bolt.

P2) Clip the bolt and move right into the steep corner. Go straight up into the offwidths above. Gain the upper ledge and move straight back to the base of the column. 5.9+, 125'

P3) Go straight up the overhanging column to the steep cracks above. When the cracks move left, you move right to the chickenheads. Climb the engaging plates and heads to the summit. 5.10-, 100'

Descent: A double rope rap with 200' ropes will get you to the deck above your gear. A single rope could get you to a ledge where you'll need to sling some boulders and rap again. Either way, bring some tat.
