Description Suggest change

A pretty fun way to top out after climbing Classic Crack (or possibly the routes to the left as well). Climbing this is more fun than trying to scramble back up the gulley approach once you are ready to leave.

Once you get to the anchors of Classic crack traverse up and right on the very featured face until you get of the anchors of “Face”. There are a few options of slightly varying difficulty. Slight a few features for protection and maybe place a cam in a pocket. The top out will probably be a little runout, but isn’t difficult.

Not the best climbing, but at least you get great views! Named for the red tailed hawks that were circling the valley while we climbed.

Location Suggest change

Starts at the anchors at the top of Classic Crack and climbs up to the “Face” anchors.

Protection Suggest change

A couple slings and maybe one mid sized cam.
