Description Suggest change

Pitch 1: 5.6. Climb the bolted slab to a two bolt anchor on a large ledge.

Pitch 2: 5.9+. Ascend the pillar climber's right of a bolted dihedral leading to the obvious chimney. From the anchor, climb a brief low angle step to reach the base of the pillar. Gain a ledge, climb the short dihedral to the left, and traverse right on face holds up and over a small roof to a good stance (P1 crux, harder for shorter climbers). Climb a short fist and hand crack, turn a second roof, and belay on a comfortable ledge with two bolt anchors.

P3: 5.7. Climb a short pitch of perfect hands to a small roof, turn the roof to a two bolt anchor on a giant grassy belay at “Lunch Break Ledge”. Pitch one and two link with a 70m and good rope management.

P4: 5.11 (35m). Move the belay to an alcove with good gear below the roof. Pull the #5 roof, then climb moderate terrain straight up to two bolt anchors.

P5: 5.6. Climb ledgy 5.6 or the unknown sport pitch on the left (finish to unknown chimney route) to chains on top of The Citadel.

Descent: rappel the route with a 70m, or rappel a single pitch down the north face of The Citadel from chain anchors above another unknown route. Note: if you are rapping the route, a 60m WILL NOT reach the grassy P2 belay ledge from either P3 variation.

Location Suggest change

Approach as for the Rolling Stone Wall. Descend the gully north of Rolling Stone Wall to a bolted, south-facing, low angle slab. Alternatively, climb Bachelor Pizza on the north face of The Citadel, and rappel the route.

Protection Suggest change

Doubles from 0.2-3, single #4 and #5, stoppers, and a 70m rope.
