Description Suggest change

The recommended approach on the Battle Toads Wall is to rappel your selected route. This route's first set of rap anchors are low on a ledge skier's right of the Battletoads. Please take great caution accessing this rappel, as it is very exposed. It is entirely possible to rappel "Battletoads" if you are at all uncomfortable getting to these chains. Both routes start in the same gully at the base of the wall.

P1: 5.11  33m, 14 bolts. Climb slab moves to the 3rd clip, and make a tricky move left into the layback crack. Stem through clip 6 to gain a crack. Make a cruxy move out and left at clip 8 either using micro left foot holds or dyno to the jug. Follow this crack until you are forced on to the face working your way to a crack/ flake on the left then using face holds to the anchor. This pitch will feel harder for shorter climbers.

P2: 5.8, 20m, 9 bolts. Move left off the anchor to clip the first bolt, and follow bolts on the face until you are under a roof. Pull the roof on the right side making you way to the chain anchor.

There is tax to be paid for loose rock on this route, but the majority of it is on good stone. The first pitch offers nearly every climbing technique from, crack, laybacking, slab, stemming, and face climbing making a worthy outing.
