Description
*If you know this route name or FA climber, please comment! It's surely been climbed before, but not listed in any guide that I own.
From the block that starts Vestal Virgin and Whiter Shade of Pale, step up the left side towards the Whiter Shade of Pale Slab. Step left around the arete towards some loose blocks and chockstones that are relatively secure. Climb straight up the blocks to a hand and finger crack that trends right then up, and at the top of this feature step back left away from the tree and into a small roof. Look up to a wide crack (protects easily with a 4 or 5), and step up onto a large platform that sits 3 feet below the hiker's trail. Belay from here if you lead it, or use this platform to build a toprope anchor.
A fun variation to ascending the starting block is to climb the 10 foot chimney to the left of the block.
