1) Never park or camp overnight at the access points.
2) Always park off the pavement, taking great care to avoid blocking the gates.
3) Clean up after your dogs. (Local climbers are finding abandoned doggie poop bags.)
4) Pack out all trash and TP, including picking up after others.
5) Use the outhouses if at all possible.
Description
Well, there ain't nothing wrong with the way she moves. Or scarlet begonias or a touch of the glue.
100 feet of tricky face climbing with some interesting holds and nice rests. Pretty similar to Steel Monkey but not quite as stellar (that route is classic and a bit pumpier). It has some sections of grainy rock but the crux is in the bullet rock down low. The uppers will clean up if it gets the traffic i think it deserves. You can hang the draws on the crux from the anchors for the monkey routes to the left. The crux clip is pretty legit until you have it figured out. The route joins the top of elemonkey for the last 3 draws. The independent anchor to the left lets you lower back to the belay and keeps the rope out of the water. Enjoy another route in one of the coolest little hangs in the gorge!
