Yosemite National Park has yearly closures for Peregrine Falcon Protection March 1- July 15. Always check the NPS website at nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/… for the most current details and park alerts, and to learn more about the peregrine falcon, and how closures help it survive. This page also shares closures and warnings due to current fires, smoke, etc.
Description
Stand start with your right hand on an angled fin and your left hand on a crimp. Climb via the arete towards the scoop and out. Be careful with the boulder below this one because you could fall in a hole, so a spotter would be nice.
Location
This was so hard to find in the summer because of the poison oak. You can either shimmy through the backside of The Road boulder. Or you can make a big loop on a social trail that is about 100ft south of Pocket Rocket. This trail initially heads southeast, but you’ll start heading more north once you go 100ft up the talus field. Be careful of poison oak.
