HUMAN WASTE: Human waste is a major issue plaguing the area. The Southern Nevada Climbers Coalition (SNCC) works to provide "wag bags" free of charge in several locations: Black Velvet Canyon, The Hamlet, Kraft Mountain Area, The Gallery, and The Black Corridor. These bags are designed so that you can pack your waste out. Consider bringing one to be part of your daily kit no matter where you go. Once used, please dispose of them properly. Do not throw them in the toilets at the parking areas.
See https://www.southernnevadaclimbers.org/wag-bags for more information on the program.
Description
Climb up on the slab above the anchor following bolts as it steepens at a horizontal seam and bulge. Above the bulge trend leftward to a vertical seam/crack which is climbed to the quick-clip anchors. A long climb, 70m required.
The OG route done by the Swains had only four mechanical bolts (which were replaced with ASCA bolts/hangers around 2011). After the bulge (and last bolt) it climbed rightward another 40' to the shared anchor of Warlock and Bewitched. This was a very heady lead with minimal additional gear. With the Swain's blessing, this route had bolts added for us mortal leaders. All the original/replaced mechanical bolts are still in use if you want the Swain experience.
