  • !!!!!!When rappelling down the third pitch I highly recommend clipping the right strand of the rope into the permadraws as a directional so you don't pendulum into the waterfall.!!!!!!!! Then pull the rope from that side so the rope goes through the permos which keeps it out of the water fall.

Pitch 1:

5.3

3 bolts to carabiners for lowering.

Scramble up past three widely spaced bolts to a decent stance at the first anchor.  (Typically pitch one and two are linked but if you want to practice your multipitch skills you can stop here.)

Pitch 2

5.7

4 bolts to carabiners for lowering

The angle starts to kick back a little and at times it can be difficult to find friction on the water polished slab. (Combining pitch one and two is a great route and a lot of fun. Beautiful views of the waterfall with pristine rock quality.  A 60 meter will just make it. 4/5 stars)

Pitch 3

5.11c

22-25 bolts?

Things pick up quite a bit on this pitch. There's features off to the right that you are able to utilize while good footwork really pays off.  The bolts start off regularly spaced but once things get tough, they are extremely close. It's more of an aid ladder at this point and if you're going for a redpoint many can be skipped. You can easily French Free this section as well.

Double Ring Anchors

Pitch 4

5.6

6 bolts

Continue with more low angled slab climbing higher and deeper into the canyon

Ring Anchors
