Description Suggest change

A decent little 5.4. Climb the inside corner on the north buttress that leads to the pine tree growing out of the ledge. If you have a wide leg-span, the opening moves up the inside corner are pretty easy. Half way up you get to do some jamming in a nice crack. The crux for me was surmounting the last bulge just before the pine tree ledge, but you can bail to the right at this point too. The good climbing ends at the pine tree ledge but you can continue up another 15 ft to the top of the buttress.

This is #9 in the Swarling/Mayer book.

Location Suggest change

On the north buttress. This is the inside corner almost directly below the large pine tree on the ledge. Finish just right of the tree.

Protection Suggest change

Rocks and cracks or a distant tree for toprope anchor
