Description
This is the east-facing slab just south of the regular start to the Royal Arch scramble. I noticed it while sitting ontop of the arch and climbed down to it and checked it out. From the lack of chalk, lichen, and moss, it doesn't seem to me like this has either been climbed or climbed very often. The bottom section is thoughtful and demands good slab technique. While there are definitely holds hidden by the foliage, I found this route quite enjoyable.
Ascend the slab up and left where you cross a stellar hand crack. Continue up and left on good holds just below the common resting point of the many day hikers you will likely encounter.
