Description Suggest change

This climb begins with a scenic bushwhack up the Middle Fork canyon to a pretty alcove. The main waterfall forms a straightforward column with good trees for anchorage off to the right.

A thin, inviting emerald smear can form just left of the main falls for added value.

Location Suggest change

From the Middle Fork trailhead, head due NE to the river and follow it into the canyon 1.5 miles to the junction with Lean Creek. This could range from breezy to extremely tedious depending on snow depth and how frozen the river is. Turn into the Lean Creek drainage and walk 50 feet up to the ice.

The total distance is around 7 miles from where the plow stops.

Protection Suggest change

A 60m rope, screws, and snowshoes/skis.
