Description Suggest change

Short layback up and onto a ledge. Place a #2 and move slightly up. Place some thin gear (nuts, ball-nut) in a tiny roof crack above you to protect. Strenuous sloper moves up to a 0.5 cam in a horizontal. Continuous effort until a #1 placement in a flake on the right. Finish up the beautiful arete, with a horizontal 0.2 just before the top out.

Stick to the arete from start to finish for full value. Divert right and left slightly to reduce the difficulty a bit.

Tree belay, Scramble down the backside for descent. Watch out for all the ants up at the belay.

Location Suggest change

Obvious arete visible on the right just before scrambling up and over to the original Ramparts wall.

Protection Suggest change

Single rack 0.2 - 2, small gear (nuts, ball-nuts) to protect crux. Tree Belay.
