Description
I bolted this line while dealing with some gnarly elbow tendonitis, so I wasn’t able to really work out all the moves and never actually climbed the route. While I was working on Astrophage the next day, I offered up the FA to my good buddy Dan. He didn’t want any beta but did ask what I thought the grade was to which I replied with that it could be 5.11a and is very pumpy. Dan proceeded to onsight it on the FA, and when he got back to the ground, I commented with “probably closer to 5.10, eh?” We all burst out laughing, and Dan gave it this name.
This is a great route with a trifecta of boulder problems with powerful lockoffs to good holds that will get the blood pumping in preparation for Astrophage, Menace to Sobriety, or Transpermia over to the left.
Location
Davey Downgrader is the first route encountered on the furthest right side of the smaller formation of the right of the crag. Permission Granted is the next and last route to the right.
