Description

This area near the peak Badger Mountain along US 24 includes Badger Flats (on the north side), Valley of Chickens, Rooster Tail, Left Wing, Far Left, The Egg, Feral Petunia; Ussen (on the SE side); and West Wilkerson (on the west side) with Duck Rock, Turner Rock, Turner Spike, Current Rock, Grassy Know, Westeros, and Short But Sweet. It is spread over a few miles. The area is known for its knobs.

There is camping near the crags, except for Westeros.

There is a pamphlet/guidebook called Badger Mountain: a Rock Climbing Guide 2nd Ed. from April 2017 by Bob & Carrie Robertson available from climbingpamphlet.com for $14.95.

Getting There

From Colorado Springs, take US 24 NW past Woodland Park, Florissant, Divide, and Lake George. Expect a small journey.
