Description Suggest change

This route climbs immediately right of Chiminee Dreyfuss, generally up an arete that is on the right edge of the huge chimney system.

Start at the base of a huge chimney, that on the right wall under an overhang, is painted "Chiminee Dreyfuss." Adjacent to the base of the chimney is a picnic table on the opposite side of the main trail. A bit up and right of the base of the chimney is a metal handrail that runs under the Gentiane, Scheffelchen and SIP sectors.

Start as for Chiminee Dreyfuss, by climbing short manmade stone wall at the base of the chimney. Climb past the first couple of bolts up the chimney, then trend slightly right to a bolt with a rappel ring on a block that forms and overhang. Go slightly up and left on the block (variation 1), then follow the obvious arete past several more bolts to an anchor.

Variation 1: If you keep trending right, you'll turn the arete and can then finish up the corner/groove that constitutes the upper section of Dreyfuss Normale.

Rappel or lower with at least a 60m rope.
