Description Suggest change

This sexy crack is a great intro to invert offwidth bouldering. This problem is a lot easier than it looks. To begin, sit start in the far back of the crack feet facing towards the exit. Start holds are best with right hand on the right-side pinch rail and left hand on a tricky/hidden fin-like dish found on the opposite wall. There is a great foot hold found lower on the pinch rail that can be used to pull yourself up into the crack to begin the brawl. Stay cognizant of the several cheater holds. Top out finish can be easily downclimbed to climbers left.

The Sunchild Tribute can be found atop the Lakeside Rock formation. As you enter the open area of the Barker Dam from the main trail, the boulder/crack can be seen atop the right side of the Lakeside Rock formation directly in-between the top-outs for the roped routes "X-Rated Tits" and "Parental Guidance Suggested".

You can approach the boulder several ways. You could potentially climb and top-out several of the sketchy rope routes at the wall OR there are also easy 4th class scrambling up both the left and right sides of the formation. The climbers left side of the formation requires boulder scrambling initially, followed by low-angle slab that takes you across the top of the summit boulders where, traversing right, you will end up on the top of the Sunchild Tribute. The climbers right side of the formation requires steeper scrambling up a water shoot that passes a medium-sized tree, then, just past the tree, scramble up a short chimney exiting left at the top to end up at the bottom of the Sunchild Tribute.
