Description
Get out your 70 meter rope. This epic voyage climbs the Sun Dragon Arete proper. Start up the standard watch your step style start and clip bolts on the face until the face narrows to an arete. Pull a crux move with your feet over the 4th bolt and continue up some steep but featured terrain to the final headwall. As the edges of the arete drop away, pull some full pad crimps and good pockets up the headwall, cranking on a hollow flake as you find the good holds leading into the roof. Pull the small roof 30 meters off the deck and climb another 10 feet or so to the anchors. Tie a knot in your belay side of the rope this pitch requires your whole 70 meter rope.
