Access Issue: Bolting Restriction
Details
New bolting or replacing of existing bolts is not permitted by the NPS within Saguaro National Park.
Description
Short and slightly overhung with mostly positive holds and tightly-spaced bolts. Powerful climbing through the middle makes this an enjoyable climb for those on the tall side. Those on the short side may find things more challenging. The most difficult route at the wall at the time of bolting.
Head to Westbound at the San Augustin Mercado for the namesake drink, of which you may spot the namesake bird nestled in the cholla.
The anchors are currently lacking chains (August 2021). Until these are upgraded, lower/TR through quickdraws on the two bolt anchor and have the last climber go the extra 10 feet to the top to lower through the chains of Corner Pocket.
