Description
Mountain range west of Tucson. The Tucson Mountains are the smallest of the 4 mountain ranges surrounding Tucson. The rock in this area is volcanic leading to sharp edges, pockets, good friction, and sometimes loose rock. The popular Gates Pass boulders are in this mountain range although they are listed under "Tucson Area Bouldering".
