Description Suggest change

Monster from the Deep is a nice testpiece on fine rock with some very cool holds. Begin sitting on the arete using a pair of edges, the left hand hold being better than the right. Move left to a sweet slot crimp, then make interesting moves along the arete until connecting with Sea of the Beast at its slippery mantel.

This is an amazing problem, one which I’d give 4 stars if not for the possibility of topping out after the first move, although this would be a completely different line still.

Location Suggest change

On the west face of Boulder #1, it climbs basically the entirety of the left arete/lip. Finish on Sea of the Beast

Protection Suggest change

A few pads and maybe a tarp for the stream under the start.
