Description
20 years ago there was a vision to climb this line, but the next-door route "Carcass" came in, so the idea was abandoned. Nowadays, squeeze jobs are all the rage, so here we go. In the end, it's almost entirely independent, minus a hold or two.
From inside the Carcass Cave, step up, out, and left towards a small white "block-prow" that leads to the upper face. Be very careful with the starting 2-4 holds as they are the only bad rock on the line. The upper face is the great pockets and rails Pontoon is known for, and- I don't want to get too excited but- maybe one of the best routes on the face. Results vary on the rating. Felt 11b, but consensus has ranged a full number grade.
