Rencontre

Les dix premiers mètres sont un peu sales mais par la suite deux belle longueurs de belle roche propre et solide (100m environ). On passe une série de gros toits en les laissant toujours sur la gauche. C'est pas mal en ligne droite. Ensuite c'est  végétal pendant 50-70 m. On suit le fond d'un dièdre plein de mousse et d'herbe. Vers la fin de ce pitch il y a possibilité de grimper sur les faces juste à droite du dièdre pour rester sur de la roche propre. On arrive finalement en bas du petit dièdre qui monte au milieux de la grande face sommitale de Rencontre (l'immense face vers la droite). Au milieu de ce pitch, il y a un relais sur deux bon pitons. Juste après le relais, il y un passage bien corsé (10b). Avec une corde de 60m, c'est possible de faire tout ce mur en un seul pitch sans problème.

The first ten meters are a bit dirty but then two good lengths of beautiful, clean and solid rock (around 100m). Pass a series of large roofs, always leaving them on the left. Go mostly straight up. Then it is vegetal for 50-70 m. Follow the bottom of a dihedral full of moss and grass. Towards the end of this pitch there is the possibility of climbing on the faces just to the right of the dihedral to stay on clean rock. Finally arrive at the bottom of the small dihedral which rises in the middle of the large face of Rencontre (the immense face to the right, the last one before the summit). In the middle of this pitch, there is a belay on two good pitons. Just after the belay there is the crux (5.10b). With a 60m rope, it is possible to do this whole wall in a single pitch without any problem.
