Description Suggest change

The crack is so named because during bridge reconstruction a saw cut into the rock face leaving elliptical indents resembling serpentine scales.

During the bridges 2017 reconstruction a diamond back nest under the crack was found to be troublesome for bridge workers, so the construction foreman used old people tongs to pinch rattlers and throw them into a cooler for relocation.

Location Suggest change

Walk east past the bridge on the north side of the river. The distinct face is 30' from the road around the corner.

Protection Suggest change

1 TR bolt. If climbing with crash pads a spotter is a good idea
