Description

Überfall is German for "falling across". Even for a climbing area thats pretty weird, this climb is out there. Hats off to whoever first wondered whether their body was long enough to bridge the gap between two pieces of rock.

Location

Climb up to the ridge at the top of the Lokomotive. At the eastern end, there is a rock platform. Stand on that platform and fall forward to catch yourself. Then climb up a couple of easy moves to the top.

Protection

2 bolds to rappel anchors on the main tower. Surprisingly, no anchors at the start of the route for the belayer. Probably best to use the rope and sling the whole rock feature so that you don't yank your belayer down with you if you fall.
