Description

Tammy Birkenstock Rides Again initially tackles broken ledgy terrain before climbing a beautiful off vertical shield to the base of a large low angle corner system where the climb ends. Tammy can be identified by her fixed draws just above a no hands rest ledge at just below half height on the route.

The bottom third has average rock quality. Rest assured that the bolts are in good rock and that the choss will clean up with more ascents. Above the no hands rest there is an airy roof encounter with big moves on big holds to a tricky vertical crux. Cruiser climbing then leads to one last little puzzle before the chains.

This is a very worthwhile addition to the wall and a great warm up for any of the harder climbs to the left.

Location

Currently the second route left of Luche Libre, which is listed on the Swallow Wall sector at the Dry.

Protection

10 bolts to chains with lower-offs.

this one's really good and has cleaned up nicely. Dont miss the "phone-book" undercling at the upper crux. Aug 2, 2017

I changed my star rating. Over the course of the last month we got maybe a dozen runs on this one, low and behold it cleaned up almost perfectly. Great route!! Aug 2, 2017

Wow! This route is awesome, if this is at your level I’d highly recommend giving it your time. The top half above to crux climbs great! Try to spot that big rest on the rail near the final moves right before the phonebook rest. The lower portion may flow pretty easy but be wary of a few loose holds here and there. Jun 10, 2018
