A cruxy, somewhat baffling start on an arete leads to a steep & pumpy face with good rests. A sting in the tail awaits at the top.

The arete just right of "look Out Below"

At 5'7" the opening moves felt like a crux. A bit awkward but not necessarily reachy. More of a balance issue. The first bolt, although appreciated, probably wouldn't do much should you blow it. Towards the top it steepens, perhaps the crux BAd speaks of but it's classic ORG pocket pulling and felt accurate for the grade. 3 days ago
Finally got around to leading this. So fun! Tall people have it a lot easier at the start. At 6'4", the opening moves were easy. Crux was up high, just before the top. Big fun. Go do it.

Of all the new routes, to date, in the Diamondback area, I like this line the best. Once, the initial move is surmounted (IMHO 10c), relatively large, positive holds await, most of the way up. Very fun. Apr 24, 2017

This climb has the potential to be really good once it see's more ascents. Good job Eric and Skip! Apr 1, 2017
