RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Details

This is the second route from the left on this wall and is just to the right of Redbud Resthome. Six bolts lead up and to the right to a two chain anchor which is shared with the next climb to the right (Slabracadabra).

Location

Second route from the left. Can rappel or lower from the quick links.

Protection

Six bolts lead up and to the right to a two chain anchor with quick links.

To double the fun on this one, climb it then TR the crack through the bulge about 10’ to the left. That one has a more difficult start and more challenging moves up to and over the bulge. No chalk and sandy, though, so that crack is probably not an ‘established’ climb...but it is even better than this one. Dec 18, 2017

great route! only comment is that this route seemed slightly harder than the route to the right, which also goes at 5.8, so I suggested a plus here. Nov 5, 2016

This is the actual left most line at the slab. The route that was throwing off the count and making this the second line wasn't part of this area and has since been removed/relocated to where its supposed to be. May 16, 2016

Gene's done a really nice job on the entire crag, but this new route is easily my favorite on The Slab. Thoughtful climbing the entire way. May 9, 2016
