Description [Suggest Change]

A great climb at Solar Asylum. Boulder up just left of the arete to start. The bolted lines split at the 2nd bolt- stay right to stay on Sunshine. Pull through juggy blocky roofs to a large ledge. Lieback up the headwall crack in the white wall, rock over left, and make cruxy pumpy face moves to a wonderful hold. Face climb past another bolt to the chains.

Location [Suggest Change]

Sunshine starts at the left side of the alcove, just left of an arete.

Great climb and well worth the 10-15 min hike up the steep trail to the base. As the guidebook states, the wall is much more impressive up close and the bands of smooth and porous Basalt made the route even more enjoyable for me. Had a blast through the steep juggy section below the first ledge. The upper crux about 20 feet from the top is definitely what made this 11+ for me. Nov 27, 2017
