Access Issue: Rattlesnake Mound is part of the Quincy Bluff State Natural Area. Bouldering is allowed, but roped climbing is not. Details

Description

Great starter crack; takes cams, wired nuts, and hexes nicely.
There's an overhanging oak tree that aids in a top rope set-up to keep your rope off the rock.

Climb lower crack left of Cottonmouth and mount the large ledge, step around right and continue corner crack. When the crack becomes too large for pro, finish the last ten feet on the right face.

Location

Left corner from Cottonmouth; main cliff east. Approach up hill through boulders between Kutcher Bluff and Main bluff. See pictures.

Protection

Mixed rack of hexes, wired nuts, and cams; top rope is an easy set-up.
