SPECIAL NOTICE: Condors have been establishing nests at the Pinnacles National Monument. Since condors develop to fledgling more slowly than raptors and vultures closures due to condor nesting is extended past the usual Martin Luther King Day to July 3rd. Again, please check the "Current Raptor Advisory" section of the NPS website and/or the Friends of Pinnacles website for current closures.
As of July 2024 there are three active Condor nests at Pinnacles National Park.
[Hide Comment] Gave this a go today. It definitely has some fun atypical pinnacles moments on it. Unfortunately I got shut down pretty hard at the crux in this photo.
[Hide Comment] How do you get past that pocket? I can get to the pocket. It seems like I have to crank on it and go straight up somehow or match the pocket (monos) and go further right.

[Hide Comment] Tony- I was able reach left up to a very sloppy U shaped dish, then right hand up to an in cut crimper stone. right foot is a high orange ledge that I was able to push up on.

[Hide Comment] Man, I haven't thought about this route for years... This was the closest I ever came to leading a 12a. I stuck the crux move, and the hold broke, creating the pocket you all love so much. Such a classic Pinns experience!
