Description

I didn't put up this route. I saw a couple of guys out retro-bolting it today (10/7/12). I am not so sure the history on this one, but if anyone knows the ol' school route, please go check it out and see if they bolted it right. They were simul-rapping an' kinda just putting bolts in random places. Neither could get the “TR” FA!!!! Both thought they were putting up a new route. It would be great if an ol' schooler could get out there an' let us know if they hacked an old line or truly restored the original.
  • * Lastly - we watched (and voiced our disgust) as the guys bolting this very briefly used their drill to open up a finger pocket that they couldn't quote get a solid two fingers in!

Location

It is just right of The Itch on the face.

Protection

Bolts.

Went and checked out this route. Thanks to whoever put the bolts in, I'm stoked to have a hard route that is only a 2 minute walk from the car. The holds are thin and fragile. The feet are small and sandy. Good luck. I'm pretty sure this route is in Tim Kuss's guidebook as an old top rope route. I don't think he gave it a 13a rating. Oct 24, 2012
